ART had been successfully used in Chiropractic Practices, Physical Therapy clinics, and by Athletic Trainers with various sports teams for numerous years. ART has continued to gain popularity and notoriety for its rapid results in increasing movement ability and improving overall performance. MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) is a relatively new, manual technique designed to increase proprioception and force production capabilities within the neuromuscular system. MAT utilizes a system of precision palpitations to help “activate” neuromuscular response and can produce immediate increased potential for muscle force production and improved joint stability and mobility. MAT also provides a great assessment method for evaluating joint function and unveiling the muscular imbalances linked with tissue restrictions, pain, and altered movement.
